Question about JAP 30006R and Blue chip

Hey there,
I have a JAP 30006R with probably a Bluechip installed (it boots DVD9). Anyway, I want to use it in Canada but the picture that shows up on screen is colourless. What I'd like to know is how come the picture is colourless when the PS2 is NTSC/J? Does the Blue chip have an effect on the PS2? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The TV May be Pal, you need an ntsc coloured or multicoloured tv.
My PS2 + Blue chip works fine, no effects.

Yes, it might be due to your TV is a PAL system.
The 300006R NTSC/J do work well in my country cos the new TV
here are Muti-Systems.
Quite sometime back, we were using PAL TV.

thanks for replying fooniman and ckt. i think the output signal is pal because i tried it on other ntsc tvs but its still colourless. does the blue chip have a pal/ntsc mode?
btw, all the tvs in canada are ntsc.

My 30006R was modded with blue chip before and it did show
colour in my NTSC TV.
Where do you got the 30006R from?
Is it due to the installer had connected 2 points for PAL TV as
shown in the attached picture if the 30006R was from a PAL
country?
Is was taken from blue chip installation diagram.
Mine wasn't connected when I remod to Messiah 2.

you may need to check that bridge my friend, i'm guessing it changed the signal.
ckt, how does the messiah 2 run on YOUR 30006R? better than blue chip? what's betteR?

i bought it in malaysia before i came to canada (i'm malaysian

). anyway, i'll try to check but that is most likely the cause of it. i've never opened my ps2 before so any advice would be appreciated.

IMO, my 30006R run better with Messiah 2 than blue chip.
It will boot 2 gold DVD that blue chip don't.
And I like the loading from browser.
Mine is 015 board with 050 bios.
Had chipped 2 other 30006R with Messiah 2 Pro and they work
well too.

gold dvds? they work fine with me...
well hah only disadvantage is no booting from browser...
