i have seen many sites and many people refer to their BIOS and attaching a number at the end. My question is: when someone says he has a 010 BIOS, is it the same as saying that i have a GH-010 motherboard?

simple question that bugs me . tia.

The Bios number is found directly on the top of the bios chip. From memory its on the second line of identifying codes on the chip. The GH-10 number you have is the revision of the motherboard for the PS2. If I'm not mistaken the GH-10 Motherboard is a V4 too.

If you take a look at the pic. attached it shows a .030 bios or as others call it a 30 bios. Hope this answers your question

thanks. alot's been cleared up now . Though i do have one more itty bitty question.

On a Nogap bios, that gap in the middle of the points wouldn't be there correct? or is the gap somewhere else?

Yes there would be No Gap on the BIOS at all.

Yah your correct there wouldn't be any gap between the pins then. Here is a pic that has both of them.
