Q: RGB green fix without a boot cd? Choices?
Q: RGB green fix without a boot cd? Choices? –
In short: I use RGB cable and use my PS2 as a DVD player, so I have to use a boot cd to get rid of the green-DVD-screen-through-RGB problem. Now, I'm sick of swapping disks every time I want to see a DVD film.
What choices do I have, specifically:
1 http://www.psxplus.com.au/ps2/rgb_color_mod.htm looks interesting. Am I missing something, or is it true that I can get rid of the RGB green problem by soldering this one connection? I mean, no chipping, no boot disk, no nothing - just this one connection and DVDs are not green any more? I'm 99% sure this is not the case... but I'd like to be 100% certain.
2 Going all the way, installing a mod chip. I believe Messiah is quite good, but I've found contradictory claims about it having the RGB green fix. Does the Messiah have the RGB green fix or not? And what about macrovision and multi region?
3 Are there any other direct boot mod chips that have the RGB green fix?
4 Any other choice that I'm not aware of?
