PSX moding

I was wondering if they made a mod chip for the PSX. not the PS1, PSone, PS2, PStwo. The PSX system that didnt release in North America. Its based upon the PS2 so i would think a PS2 chip would work but im not positive. Anyone know anything.???

Chances are there probably isn't a working modchip for it. As according to the page it has a different GUI/firmware, as current modchips work by patching the BIOS. Secondly it's only available from Japan, and as far as I know it didn't sell well over there either.

Well the PSX is just basically a PS2 and a PVR build in one.
