Psx game backup not working.

I finally found out why the reset button wasnt working, the ribbon has some badly bent parts, but i found a way around it . I inserted a psx original game (ff7), and it works. I inserted a back up of FF7 (disc II) , and i get a red screen. My main question is why isnt the psx back up working ? are they incompatible with duo2se's ?

There may be a certain way u have to put the chip in "ps1 mode." With most chips that require u to manually switch the modes around for ps1 mode u have to have the disc already inserted (so turn on ur ps2 and insert the game then turn it off or put it in standby) thenwhen u turn it on hold "reset" until it reaches the "Sony Computer Entertainment" screen. Hope this helps

for the duo put disc in and turn off, then hold power button until blue light on eject button comes on then let go and it should boot, for dvd movies hold button until pic comes on screen, if this fails then check s wire

Can the duo2se read cd-rw's ?

its no so much will a modchip read cd-rw, its will the laser read cd-rw, some will, some wont, most wont, try it and see
