Could you be a little more specific? What chip? Does the DVD spin up? , ect...
M7 Chip, the DVD does NOT spin up.
can anyone please help me?
thanks
explain your situitation a little better and someone could help you easier. if someone installed the chip for you cintact them and let them know the problem. If you did the install yourself take a magnifiying glass and check all your solder points you made if you cant find the problem with the magnifiying glass remove the chip and try again.
good luck
check for briding or cold solder joints, make sure you have connected everything correctly to the mod and the bord also make sure that you have the right resistor for the "fix" sometimes you might need to increase the OHM of your resitor, for example say i got a borad with the 683 code written on it, i would need a 1.8kOhm resistor to be aplied, but some of the time i have found that is not the case in all the ps2 machines, i had to do an install a couple of days ago where i applied the right resistor but the drive would not spin, so i went and increased the OHM from 1.8k to 2.0k and the drive started to spin.
so that might be ur problem too, so if u have a cam just post some pics or PM me and i will have a closer inspection
I install mad numbers of the M-7 Pro chip, and haven't had the issue you've described as of yet.
I also tend you think your summ0ne fix (or any resistor fix, for that matter) may be the issue. Questions...
Does the console power up correctly? As in, turn from red light to green and stay that way?
Do you get any video... the splashscreen? The browser?
What measurement of resistors did you use for your fix?
Are you certain you put the POWER wire to the correct point on the board?
