PS2 w/DMS3 and CodeBreaker
PS2 w/DMS3 and CodeBreaker –
I just got a PS2 v9 premodded with a DMS3. It works great for all the listed features but in order to run CodeBreaker it seems to be necessary to put the modchip in sleep/stealth mode. But after that I cannot run my backups or some regular games. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
What version of codebreaker? V7 works fine on my V9 US console with the DMS3 V9 and 1.8 flash (from the site).
IIRC you must be running 1.8 on the chip for codebreaker to work. Earlier revisions didn't support codebreaker.
CodeBreaker v8.0 –
I have CodeBreaker version 8.0 and supposedly the latest update on the DMS3 (v1.8). What mode are you starting the CodeBreaker disk in? Am I having problems because the CodeBreaker is version 8.0 instead of 7.0? Do I need to reinstall v1.8 on my DMS3? Do I need DeVolution? Would GameShark be a better choice? Am at a bit of a loss. Thanks in advance for any advice.
If I was to hazard a guess it would be that there is some kind of problem with Codebreaker v8. It just came out last part of Feb...
I'd look around for a Codebreaker v7, or get an ARMax.
