Ps2 v7 modded question for charlie

I know you have a magic modded ps2 or so I think. I was wondering if you know if what I heard from someone that the game Xenosaga has a dual layer protection. I bought the game and tried it but the game did not load well and there was a disc error. This is the retail game. Everything else works dvdr regular import ps2. I was wondering if getting a gs2 would work loading up this import game. I hope someone can give me a valid solution to see if the gs2 method works.

Magic 2 chips have problems loading duel layer games like Xenosaga. I don't think getting a gs will help.

not sure how but thats what he said that his tests reflected
