PS2 V7 with Magic 3.1 having problems need help

This is my second unit 1st worked fine. This one I am able to boot originals and movies, but will not boot copies. Any ideas

if you installed it check over all your points with a multimeter. make sure all your points are connected and that none are bridged. if you didnt install it send it back to your installer.

Wich connections could be causing this problem. And how do you check with a multimeter from which point to wich point. Have another problem now. Laser does not spin. any ideas

you would place one lead on one end of the wire and the other lead on the other end of the wire and see if there is any resistance. it should say 0 resistance.

New V7 with magic 3.1 that will not looad DVDR or CDR, but loads original and imports will need to have the lazer adjust a bit to about 1250 ohms to enable read of DVDR. New V7 DVD pot usually sits at about 1400-1500ohm. You will need to adjust it to 1250ohms for DVD pots and CD pot and everything will work great.

i didn't need to adjust the pot to get backups to work on my v7 machine. also, this seems like an install problem, now he says that the drive doesnt spin...

laser doesn't spin huh? hehe i didn't know lasers could spin

jk new ways so more cd spin even origs. Umm For your back up prob do psx work if so must be cd dvd points
