    Hi all

Ive got a little problem at the moment ive got a modchip, which i dont even know the name off. And i can tell u it sucks. So i was thinking about getting a new one and built it in myself. But first i wanted to look if it would be difficult, so i started to disassembling my ps2. A really old one the V3 PAL version. Well it was easy till i needed to unplug some connectors on the motherboard, tried alot but cant figure out how i can pull them out. Some kind of handling is needed it seems. Here a picture of the connectors i mean.

I hope someone knows the answer. Thanks already.

Btw im dutch so i think my english is not that well, sorry for that.

your link doesnt work. Now are you sure its a v3 ? Does it say gh-006 on the board ? The motherboard should come off without to much trouble, just disconnect the fan plug the 2 silver cables and the controller ribbon. Take all the screws out to of course.

The brown plastic flips up, stick a fingernail under it from the ribbon side and lift up.
The other one pulls straight up, take off the metal expansion bay cage first. Use four fingernails at each corner and lift up, don't let it lift too far when it comes free.

    Cheers,
