ps2 v18 1a –
06-04-2011,11:47 AM
I bought a ps2 slim SCPH 90004 datecode CB(its saying 1A on the ps2 but i'm finding CB on the box).
The motherboard is GH-072-42.
I have googled around and can't find a clear answer for wich modchip i need.
I did find that the modbo 760 maybe works on this ps2 but then i didn't find any diagrams or info about the datecode.
Does anybody know wich modchip i should choose and give me the install diagram.
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
To the bottem of the page at:
http://www.modchip-wizard.com/produc...stallation.htm
I found a diagram wich might be correct.
Its under Installation "SCPH 90002 . SCPH 90004 . SCPH 90001 . SCPH 90003"
My ps2 allows Modbo 4.0,Modbo 745,Modbo 750 and Modbo 760,is this correct?

CB is not the datecode, but the cover description. (I think it stands for "Coal Black" or something like that.)
The datecode is 1A and means that the unit was marked so in the factory during the first quarter of 2011 (so it is a VERY new console). This also (obviously) means that the FMCB softmod is out of the question, as that applies to all consoles made after the third quarter of 2008 (all after datecode 8C, and some of those marked so as well).
