Ps2 V12 wide laser and SLIM-FIX v3
Ps2 V12 wide laser and SLIM-FIX v3 –
After about 40 hours of playing and now itĀ“s dead. The thing that happened was
1.IĀ“ll put the ps2 on and the laser moved out and made two "pops"
2.Tried with an dvd(game)
3.The disc turns but wont read
4.IĀ“ll tried to restart
5.The ps2 tries to read and after about 5 sec it turnes off.
(I have the crystal case thats why I saw the whole thing)
Measured the coils and they where fine but the laser was "misty"
Laser is misty would indicate that the Laser diode went poof! up in smoke.
All scene people....
If you have "WIDE" laser please don't use "Matrix pic fix or another fix shutdown pstwo automaticly.(slim fix,etc...)
Nor your wide lens will dead absolutly.
(I have 18 dead wide lens)
For wide lens only use both resistor fix(solid summone fix!)
Have you had the same result with just using the Original Summ0ne fix?
Only I test with strached disc 3 pstwo with wide lens. When happen mechacon crash Matrix pic fix (or other auto shutdown fix) shutdown pstwo; this good but if you need play this scrathed disc or crappy media again after those fix shutdown pstwo 2-4 time definetly wide laser diode will dead.
I test with same media (killed 3 pstwo) with summone fix only pstwo freezing!I take power cord off and summone fix saved wide lens
This is my result now and I give to customer for test 8 unit wide lens with summone fix(both resistor)16 day no return....
Sorry for crappy English.
That's very odd, the comsoft fix is meant to shutdown these things not burn them up.
For pvr802 or KHM430 I still use comsoft fix yes comsoft fix save coil (Thank you for hard work COMSOFT) for wide lens yes not coil burn but we have new problem dead dvd diode...Matrix pic code main problem I think.Because I have with matrix pic fix 5 dead dvd diode.
would turning down the dvd side on the laser so it is enough to read dvd's help save the diode?
the only cause for this could be that the /int line is not pulled low as soon as a crash occurs, but the dsp waits for too long before it pulls it low. in that case the summ0ne B) fix wins above all
