PS2 v12 DVD drive Wont spin after Ripper IV install

as per subject my PS2 v12 DVD drive Wont spin after Ripper IV install.. all connection points look ok. I have installed the somone resistor fix etc..etc.. but still no go... Any Ideas would be helpfull.... Thanks in advance..

YEah... kinda annoying, and it doesn't really relate.

Check fuses and make sure the two lid switches are getting pressed down properly. One at the back and to the left of the dvd drive, the other is at the top of the power/reset switch.

Have you tried removing the Someone fix just to see if the DVD will spin again? I have experienced that same issue and just removeved and replaced that and it worked again....

well im having same prob
same chip .. thought installed this chip on another ps2 , and all working great...
this ps2 got his chip removed also dommon fix removed , still wont spin ...
im waiting on new resistors
i'll check if thats the prob

itll be fuses... if everything u installed is removed and u maed sure nothing is bridging... itll be a fuse issue

remember when a fuse blows no power can go through
