i have bought the new(ish) silver slimline ps2 pre-chipped off the internet. The chip is the matrix infinity, and i have updated the chip with the v1.91 firmware. I got the console on friday! Ive had it less than 36 hours and there is a problemn already.

The problem i am having is what i believe a power problem. I THINK this because the ps2 slimline is all plugged in ready to go, the red standby light is on i press the reset button it turns green, but for like 1 second then goes back to standby (red light). Ive tried all games ps1 ps2 originals and backups, but was a pointless exercise as i cant even get to the ps2 menu because it wont boot up!

Any advise would be excellent as i have never experienced this problem before. Iv read through some different ps2 forums with people that have the same problem but none of them have the slimline console! People have replied saying the fuse may have blown or something has shorted out, if this is the problem is there anything i can do about it?

this is usually a case of the 3.3 volt has grounded, this could be due to the chip touching the metal tray inside or a component shrting out, send it back where you got it and get them to fix it
    Many have asked
