PS2 Slim 790001 No Data Error

I attempted to mod this with modbo 745 and had no luck, i removed the chip and now when i try to boot a game i get a no data messege... did i burnt something out? the laser still turners red like its searching for a disc but always get no data. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

i'll take some pics and post, now another thing modbo 745 does it infact work on this model? i've seen posts to add a resistor/transistor and another saying to ground Z point. Thanks again for the help.
