Just wondering if anybody has any info on editing PS2 save games. I've become interested in trying it out, but can't find any info on it. Any ideas/comments/suggestions? Thx!

Get yourself a decent hex editor (Hex Workshop for example) and start comparing save states. For example, the THPS3 antman was created by saving the character, altering the height of the created character and then saving again. Then open the saves up in the hex editor and see what is different, make more saves changing that one value to easily spot where the variable is being stored

You can even insert images into Armoured Core 2 emblem saves (.xpo format only) and change the country of the save to use it on a different region version of the game (guide for Xport/Sharkport here It's easy to follow and applies to .psu saves too )

Just ask if you need more info

All right. I'll see if I can do that. Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely be back if I've another question.

FYI - the newest update for Sharkport seems to have resolved the issues that the early units had. Very easy to use, once you get used to it.

I haven't had too many probs with it yet. Occasionally it'll hang on me or something. But I can generally get it up again.

"I haven't had too many probs ... But I can generally get it up again" - are you sure you don't just need to up your viagra dosage?

Another benifit of the Shartport is that you can update your entire code list much easier, as well as adding custom codes much easier. I'm not sure if it will work on my v7 now since, from what I've heard, the v7 doesn't read any[?] Interact GS discs.

The main issue I have with the Xport/SharkPort software is it's compatability with GTA3, or should I say lack of. It's a simple problem, I let them know what the problem was and it's fairly easy to fix by the sounds of it yet here we are with no update still

Yeah. Interact is going the way of the DoDo from what their employees are saying. I don't imagine that is going to help.
