PS2 VERSION IS v7:
Ok, I had to replace my blown PS1 fuse in my PS2. I now get standby light + green power light once booting up, but I get no blue light and no ejecting, I got a multimeter (finally) and I tested PIN8 of the BA58 chip to the GROUND and got no reading, which I hear is good. On some fuses, when I test them the numbers on the meter jump all around, but other times on the same fuse, it goes to 2 random numbers, then goes back to 0 or 1 and doesnt change. Is there any different way to do this? what else could be causing the no blue light thing, could it be the orange light that connecs the drive to the board (the 4pin part) that is giving me this problem???

i have a v7 gh022 motherboard .. the eject light works fine .. it even blinks tellin me that it is ejecting the tray .. but it never does.
and the disk doesnt spin .. and the laser does not move on the sled.. but it does try to focus..
I suspect that my ba5815 is not good.. even tho the test with a meter says it is good..
the test of vcc to ground .. is just a simple test to see if the chip has completely shorted internally. The chip could still be bad and pass this test.

Well, like i said,. both my BA Chips were fine (and to crashwarped, the disk not spinning i think is the BA66 chip, if the BA66 is fine, check PS11. I have a v7 GH-022 Motherboard also, and I just checked em all, and PS14 was blown, i guess i wasnt using the meter right @ first, I had to replace PS1 and PS14, my PS2 is working fine now
