    Yeh after a magic 3.1 install my ps2 doesnt eject. it powers up and the fan spins and all. put it doesnt eject. so i dont think it can be the 7 pin ribbon cable. Plz help me and tell me what else it could be.

    hmmm???....i've had it happen a few times, that when i put the metal cage back on the board i pinched the Z wire, which didn't allow it to eject, this could be the problem, does the screen come up, if not, you've probably blown a fuse, the one next to the BA58 controls the ejecting and laser movement ETC. so test that w/ a multimeter....if that doesn't work...hmmm...i have no idea

    Have black screen ???
    Is on the eject led ????
    anyway remove Z test it if dont eject aigain then have a mixed wires ( probably mixed up RST with Z)

    what verison is it ??? .. if it's a V4, look for solder splash on the cd/dvd controller pins. (shorts )
