Ps2 not ejecting.

I just got a magic 3.1 installed and the guy told me the ps2 isnt ejecting. so i told him check the ribbon cable going from the eject and power button that goes to the mainboard. he said he thinks that the ribbon is fine. so is there anything else that wont let the ps2 eject. like any point that could have been missoldered and that would effect the ejecting?

try turning the ps2 on an press eject.. wait... thats if reset dont work

check the ribbon cable... test each wire with a multimeter

i'd expect the chipper to sort it - he screwed it
on second thoughts if he did that and returned it to you like that maybe i'd avoid him even looking at it, let alone playing about inside it again. get some money off him for the bodge and get a pro to fix it if ur not upto doing it yourself.

ribbon is damaged, OR a careless mistake like ribbon is inserted upside down, since hes the installer he should be liable for the ps2 and has to fix the problem, or replace your ps2!
