PS2 noob but not a modding noob
In general, I have always tried to avoid swap disks, but I do believe they have gotten better and if you don't mind swapping, should work great for you. Personally, I've never used them. I just modded my PS2 with a DUO2 SE, works great, only 17 wires.
only thing about swap disks is they always come out with updates.. as soon as a new game with a bigger toc then the swap disk comes out they release a new one
generally too, theres almost always a needed patch to make the game work with your swap disks.. and sometimes patches dont come out for some time.
its alot less hassle in the end to have a modchip
Interesting facts about the swap disks. Sounds like a modchip is the way to go. Thanks for the info, it is very helpful.
Can you tell me a well repected site that sells chips or swap disks? I've found a few but I'm not sure how reliable and fast they are. I've seen people get scammed by those "fly by night" websites and its not good.
