I am a newbie and I apoligize in advance if I am doing anthing that I am not suppose too.
I have too admit, the more I read about PS2 mods, the more I get confused. Consequently, I would really appreciate any advice anyone would be willing to share.
I own a PS2 slimline and I would like to have it modded to play back-ups.
1. Does anyone know of a place that I take my PS2 to in New York City or Jersy City that is reputable and will do a mod on site? I'm very apprehensive about sending it somewhere.
2. What chip would you recommend? All of them claim to work but if anyone is a pro in this subject I would really appreciate it.
3. Does anyone know where I can obtain detailed instructions of how to backup games? I'm not a computer novice, but far from an expert. I have read a few
tutorials on doom9.net, but I will be honest I could use a little more friendlier version.
Please note I'm using this to make legitimate backups of my disks. My kids(and their friends) have made coasters out of 5 games that we have purchased. I have tried every scratch remover on the market and it is such a pain. On a side note the Alera DVD-CD disc repair system is the best consumer product I have found.
Thank you in advance
