PS2 Lens Coil Prob?

Hi, I was reading this topic http://www.ps2newz.net/forums/showth...&threadid=8604 and it scared the shit out of me, cuz my little cousin dropped my ps2(ver.6), like 2 days ago, and the symptoms seem to be exactly to what is mentioned in that topic. IT only boots CD-R and does not boot DVDs no more. The thing is. I have no clue to what are ohms, coils, the mesurements of the coils, pots, BA chips and stuff like that. I AM CLUELESS.

Please, I beg of you, pleasse someone help me.

I just saved my money and got my HDD, and it would really really suck if I have to buy another ps2. Just wondering if anyone can explain to what the words that I mentioned mean, and if you can hand out some tutorial and hints for this problem to this mate.

It would be greatly appreciated.

If you do not have the knowledge don't mess with it.
Look for an experienced technician near you and agree with him to give a looks at your PS2.
