i just recently sent my ps2 to be modded and it came back ok at first but after 30 minutes i get a high pitch sound. its got a dms3v9 flash bios 1.8.
i cant seem to flash upgrade it to 2.2 either it just freezes at the programmin flash screen

There is a short on the bios solder points or u blew an output on the I/O CPU that drives the bios addresses.
Solution: Try to remove wires and clean the points on the bios and see if the squeel stops.
If that does not help u have to replace the I/O cpu - The fattest chip on the mobo.
