    Can anybody help
    power ribbon to my laser come off & shorted blowing ps11.
    Replaced ps11 but now just got the old black screen.
    Press the red reset, goes to green & back to red after 3sec, spindle does not spin, no laser & no eject.
    Is there anything I can do, change chips test chips etc
    please help

    You should verify all the other PS2 fuses on your board to be sure none of them have blown up like the ps11

    Yes forgot to mention I checked all 15 of them, just ps11 gone,
    also after replacing ps11 the BA58 chip did get hot which is good yes! But not anymore its stone cold is there a test for the BA 58 & BA66chips

    To check a fuse just measure for continuity. 0ohm is good. Infinite ohms is a blown fuse.
