Ps2 games lag... –
03-27-2004,01:04 AM
hey i am very stumped about this....my ps2 games lag in game, and i wouldnt mind it much except i play fantasy games (kingdom hearts, and drakenguard are good examples). when a lot goes on like in kingdom hearts im around a lot of heartless or if i do the dragons special in drakengard it LAGS! so far ive gotten a new used laser guranteed to work fine and installed, same results. ive cleaned out my system 3 times and cleaned the laser lens with a q-tip and alcohol. does ANYONE have any idea whats going on? and my ps2 is a v4 with a DMS3 v2 modchip installed. and i played naruto narultimate hero (rarely any lag in that game) on it and its a burned game on a fuji film dvd-r. did the game kill my laser? or is it something else, i so hope someone has an answer, please reply here or AIM me at gbnaruten! or msn goten2001@comcast.net thanx! (i prefer messenger but a reply back is just as good and i thank you all who reply with tryig to help!)

Have you tried the originals to see if it makes any difference. If you don't have the originals than maybe you can try burning the games to a different brand of DVD-R like RiTek or Memorex. I have bought lasers to replace my PS2 system as well and with the new laser it's very picky. Even cds and DVD that use to work with my old laser don't work any more. I had to burn the image onto a different media and it starts to work again. Maybe this will help you.
