ps2 'fuses' locations request pls!
ps2 'fuses' locations request pls! –
Hi, I am looking for someone to email me the complete set of 'fuses' for the PS2 earlier models pcbs. I understand they are s/m and do not need to know the values, just the locations on the boards if someone has this info..
Thanks.. my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I appreciate it.
I'll bet you are. Do you know how long it took me to do the v7 ones I posted? No wonder that shitehawk Z ripped it off and presented it as his own.
How can any of his moderators bear to work with him?
Eventually, maybe a Christmas project, I'll do v5 & v1/v2. I might be able to v3 but I probably not v4.
I know you guys in the uk always get it done first, had the pleasure of working with some of your neighbors on the asic project and wtd on the hu cards for dtv.. and i gotta say the best programmers and digital techs seem to come from the uk..
hehe, just a note, thanks and no rush, just if you have the time, i had a ps2 with an apple chip in it, a guy played with the laser, and then brought it back - i am assuming it is burnt as the laser does not appear that bright and the screen loads, but stops (almost a freeze) at the 'browser' screen after taking the mod chip back out and trying to boot it as stock..
Anyways, just a ittle project here, just thought I would test the fuses perhaps if someone had them handy or did the research already.. I can probe the board myself, but as you say, takes time, so was just checking if someone already had them done and could help out.. but guess not, so....
I will wait, or perhaps spend a couple hours testing the pcb out and then also (if you do get to it) will do up a digital pic and locations for others.. this is a v4, so i will probably only do this unit.. it may not even be the fuse(s) but just checkin if he popped something along the install - as i was not present when he did it, and he claimed after the install it did not work-- still played comm. games, but not copied. So i thought to perhaps take it out, but when I got it... the laser did not read anything, just froze..
I know, as you probably do -- the worse thing in life for a tech is to have to fix someone elses problems, but i love the challenge.
Good points in your email, and thanks for the reply..
