ps2 fuses... –
I know alot has been written about then 'lil smd buggerz.. only thing i ran into is the following..
i was meaning to order me some smd fuses to have when i need then.. now i'm wondering are they FF fuse, very fast or some other kind special?
Also in my book the 6,3A one is not showing..
Maybe somebody can give me some pointers to what they exactly are..
anybody knowz what kind of fuses?-)
elllo there folks ..
i Too would like this to be confirmed ..
i am now currently installing a BA581FM chip, and fuse ..
the BA chip came from, http://www.modchip-sbox.com on they are very quick .. and the customer service seems top as well
now .. i orded some fuse's from farnells
BUT is this correct ?? .. the black PS2 ones marked 50 in white
are these rated at 5amps ??? or 50mA ?
(Farnell code, 975-357)
and also to follow on with radxnl Q.. are they fast acting ones !?
would love this to be all confirmed before the power up :-/
many thanks ...
The ones marked with 50 are 2Amp fuses. My post in the FAQ gives the fuse rating for each type. No idea if they are fast acting. They are SMD fuses - on PS2 fast acting are normally "fasted" by Zener diodes. So I don't think youneed worry about that.
most excellent, thanx for confirming....
now i can complete my order in peace..
charlie.. great work m8, much apreiciated by lotz of ppl..
greetingz from the land of the free
thx .. i second that motion
most appreciated .. Mick ..
just a quicky .. i have an old PSX board, i have nicked all the 50's of it for other projects etc ..
only got ones marked 15 left, what are the rating of these ???
as silly me thought that the 50 was the rating and order some 50 Amp ones !! ...
so i wanna just test the ps2 to see if the BA chip did fix it etc, and dont really wanna risk a 5A fuse were a 2A fuse would be !!
if the psx one marked 15 is say 1A i could at least test it and get it ready while the 2A fuse's ive ordered arrive
many thanks Mick ..
