PS2 DVD / DMS3 help!

i need your help urgently,

here's the situation maybe you can help,

-brougt a PAL console pre-modded brand new (DMS3)
-demo disc will play out of the box
-(pressed/orig) dvds "ROLL" , in all modes (sleep, DVD,PS2)
-games(and copied games) r assumed to work but not tested yet

you can see some of the picure and ther about three lines which roll down the screen

i will contact the company who modded it but would like to know why its like this

PLEASE PLEASE help out as it is my bro's birthday so i really need your help, im new to all this

You have a Pal System probably running on a tv that displays NTSC and that would probably be your problem.

the problem still exsits, games play proprly but dvds just don't

i don't think this the problem, it is a PAL tv (never had any problems with normal ps1/DVD/VHS)

if you updated the bios to "1.06c" I think its called, hold R1 while booting a DVD. I think holding R1 forces the picture to go to whatever your ps2 is

thanks i will try it ASAP, but could you elaborate? i have 1.6c firmware, R1 forces PAL in my case? if so why is it booting to NTSC now?

that only works for games.
