PS2 backups!

Hi, I'm doing a messiah 2 install on a v 7 ps2 and ps2 backups just won't boot. I've tried resoldering bios wires and cd/dvd spots and they still won't boot. When I try booting a ps2 cd-r it somehow try to load the psx logo with the scea lettering on the bottom w/out the big PS symbol. Ps2 dvd-r's just go the rsod. Can someone help me out...? As for psx games and originals, they all load fine...

found the problem... the messiah 2 pro itself was bad... i switched it with another one and now everything boots flawlessly... but how can it be bad when it worked on another console...

could have gotten static on it it kills chips fast
