Hey all, little bit of help needed please![]()
As you can see by the picture, fuse ps13 is no longer, as are the solder pads, so what I did was find continuity between the 2 points and joined them with the green wire, do you think this will be ok ???

I have just done this as a temporary method until I can get a new fuse on monday.
Shorting a fuse with a wire just means that if there is a problem with the PS2 or your install, you'll destroy components on the PS2. (Of course, if it's the main fuse in the PS2 power supply, which this one is not, then you risk setting the unit on fire as well)
It's your risk!
as shepd says, better replace it with a fuse. they're there for a reason. without it all sorts of nasty things could happen when it decides it needs to blow again.

I agree with you guys totally, I have done this to see if these are the correct 2 points to use to solder in the new fuse, because I can't use the old points where ps13 was because the pads have been lifted and there are only the tiny tracks left and I just can't seem to get a wire soldered onto the tracks.
I have put it together but it is giving me lots of problems with only reading certain dvd's and not reading ps1 discs.
