I've had a hell of a time with an 'unmodable' v7. Tried like 3 different chips, resoldered all my wire, repositioned the chip. All I get is a PS logo, than a PS2 logo, than I go through the select language, select time zone screen, I select those and then I reboot and it does the same thing. Any idea on what would cause that?

Thanks, I check my G,H,I,B points when I get home. I redid the G,H,I points last night and fed the wire through the side instead of through one of the holes where it might have been pinched think that was the problem. Now, I'm about ready to kick it. It's the PS2 from hell. And this is a V7. I love doing V7's. Or I did. Anyways, I'll post later if it helped.
