I'm trying to boot a no-mod version of socom on a sph-10000 with ar2 (ps2 is open, manual swop), I know the cdr actually works cause it boots and runs on my magic3 pal.
Anybody have any ideas?

is it pAL or NTSC? (SOCOM)
ntsc
i don't see why its not working, as long as you burned it correctly, Mode2/XA RAW And All, It Should work.
There is a PAL(!!!!!!!!) Version of Socom????? HoW????
Is There?Quote:

The problem is that the release was on an 80 min CDR (700M). No swap/Manual Swaps will generally have problems with any game that has to be burned on 80 min media. 74 min (650M) games will work, generally with no problems.Quote:

The reason for this is standard PS2 CD-based games do not exceed the 74 min limit. This is why when you swap out, the PS2 cannot read the data on the outer limits.
I've tried with the rips as well, and most likely, it gets to the Socom loading screen, and then locks up. You're SOL unless you get a no-swap mod or get a DVD-R version.
So??? Is there a Pal version???
I Don't Think There Is, I Suspected There Should Have Been One By Now But I MisInterpreted....Sorry...
