Problems with my PS2! read please

I replaced my lens twice and my PS2 is a scph 30001 (i think it's a V4) with a magic2 installed. Here are my problems

-Most FMVs skip or freeze
-Some parts of games just won't load
-FFX (the monsters don't appear)
-sometimes the ps2 goes nuts when the NA is working

Could it be the modchip? will changing it solve this?

How are you burning and what brand media are you using? Are you using -r or +r?

I didn't yet find any trouble with burned games. I'm having problems with originals.

btw..how do i know if my lens is a V4 lens?
and does the lens cable solve anything?

You can identify your ps2 version here . You might want to try a laser cleaning disc. It could just need a cleaning.
