Problems with my Matrix Infinity
Problems with my Matrix Infinity –
04-20-2004,05:03 AM
Please guys need help, i installed my matrix infinity the other day i was playing a backup copy of my dvd game everything running smooth about an hour later i went to put in a ps1 game (original
) and all i got was the cd audio of the game. I kept presing reset but the same thing all i could choose was the audio that comes on the game. I tried putting in my original ps2 game and it doesn't recognize it i get that red screen that says insert ps2 game or whatever it is. Tried using my original ps1 game and this time it loaded i pressed the reset button twice and i got it to work. Now my problem is no backupgames or original ps2 games will work it keeps going to the red screen like as if i have a inproper disc inserted, another thing i am noticing is i am not getting the playstation 2 infinity v.1.0 screen no more. did I press something that turned off the chip what went wrong please help. I even unplugged the power to my ps2 for 30 minutes the only game i seem to be able to play now is my original ps1 game, no original ps2 or backup ps2 games work anymore. I had it working when i first installed the chip for about an hour on all games were loading with np backup and originals all on first boot. Please any advice as to what may have went wrong maybe i turned off the chip by pressing something on the controller or the reset button, tried to go to infinitymod.com but there offline. Any insight will be much appreciated. This is very weird especially when at one point the only thing i got on my ps1 original was the audio cd that comes with the game and nothing more (ps1 game xmen)

You should re-open your PS2 and check all soldering points carefully. I'm pretty sure that you can solve those problems by re-soldering a point or two.

Some badly connected wire probably detouched form the connected point.
Remove all wires, clean all soldered areas, reinstall the Modchip using NEW wires.
