Here is a c/p of my conversation so far. The ps2 was modded, shipped through USPS and then played with no problems whatsoever for 2 weeks. Now all of a sudden it won't eject. Any ideas? I'm stumped! The guy has no idea on how to open it up and check anything, and I really doubt if he's too excited about spending $20-$30 to ship it to me to check out.

    hey dude you here
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    yeah
    rick says:
my ps 2 wont open i took a disc out went to go into browser to delete some of my old stuff off memory card it wouldnt let me in then when i try and open the cd it wont if you keep trying it will shut the system off?
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    thats crazy
    [TNS] Nightman says:
try taking out the memory card
    rick says:
any ideas on how to get door to open
    [TNS] Nightman says:
I've heard of a memory card becoming corrupted
    [TNS] Nightman says:
give that a try, and try unhooking everything and hooking it back up
    rick says:
i just did that when i turn it on and hit the eject button it sounds like it trys to open but doesnt
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    that's crazy strange....
    [TNS] Nightman says:
I dont know what it could be. If the mod doesn't work, it should have a black screen, not the problems you're describing
    [TNS] Nightman says:
has it been running for awhile?
    [TNS] Nightman says:
I mean right before it started doing this
    rick says:
no i just went to play it
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    could it be overheated?
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    oh
    rick says:
and when i unhooked everything and tried it screen stays black
    [TNS] Nightman says:
do yuo have a controller plugged into slot 1
    rick says:
    yeah
    [TNS] Nightman says:
the infinity looks for a controller for 10 seconds
    [TNS] Nightman says:
and while it is looking the screen is black
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    ok
    [TNS] Nightman says:
I really have no idea what could be wrong
    [TNS] Nightman says:
let me think about it, i gotta go eat. keep trying to get it running
    rick says:
    ok thanks for the help
    rick says:
ok when i unplugged everything and hooked it all back up i turn on the power and the red light is on i hit the reset button and the blue light just keeps flashing then stops the screen stays black the whole time
    rick says:
i tried it again and the blue light flashes once and thats it the screen just stays black
    [TNS] Nightman says:
    hmmmmm. I'm still stumped
    [TNS] Nightman says:
I wouldn't think anything would've come unhooked from the chip. I mean it was ok through the mail, and you played it for a couple weeks just fine
    [TNS] Nightman says:
could it have gotton dropped/jarred while you werent playing it?
    rick says:
yeah i know no i dont think so i played this afternoon then shut it off went out came home went to play it thats when it started
