Arrrrrrr, 8x is yer slowest? I thinks ye need to re-check that. Fer if'n ye can burn at 8x ye also have the ability ta burn at 1-7 as well (normally only even numbers though) What program are ye using ta burn? What type of burner are ye usin'? How are ye burning (ie: direct copy, or make image/burn image?)

Are you using a rip? Because my copy of VIP is on DVD. And, yeah, rips can be pretty noisy.

I have a sony writer and the minimum it will write is 8x too for cd-r. However, cd-rw it will go down to 4x. And, yes I am using nero and cdrwin.

I think this thread is in the wrong area or am I lost again?
