Has anyone had their japanese schp 1000 chipped with the dms3 chip and found out that playing dvd movies with the chip doesn't work?

There is also another problem the disc tray pops out really quick. what's goning on here? The chip does play all games but tray pops out quick.

It May Be An Extra Feature On The Chip, As For The DVD, Make Sure You Have Your Drivers Installed On The Memory Card (From The Utility Disc) Using OFF Mode (Open PS2 By Pressing Eject), Also, It May Be A Fault, Try The DVDs In OFF Mode And See If They Work, Note: They MUST Be NTSC and Region 2 Or All If You Have The Driver Installed And Want To Test It In OFF Mode.

I dont think its an extra feature on the chip that the tray pops out quick.

The drivers are installed on the memory card so their should be no reason that it doesn't work.

Did you updated your chip with the latest code?

I've tried all the buttons, Still no dvd play back on discs.

The disc tray still speeds up every time i eject the disc. I have to power down when swapping for a new game or else the disc spins to fast in the tray.

Does anyone know what the problem is and is there any fixes for the disc tray and dvd playback?

does anyone know what the new 1.2 update for the chip does to the machine? I haven't updated the chip yet.

Fair light let me know how you get on with the dms3 chip.

the biggest possibility is that u are pressing the codes wrong...

u should press and hold on to the square button immediately after u press the reset button and only let go when the blu swirls on the tv comes.
