Problems with dms3

I got my ps2 remodded with dms3 for 2 weeks ago.
And now I want to Install DMS3 explorer and the 1.2 upgrade.
I started with the upgrade, I used cdrwin to burn the cuesheet at speed 1X.
But it doesn't work at my ps2. The ps2 shows the picture where there is one disc and a memory card (browser?)
Samething with dms3 explorer and some other applications as PS2 - VCD-DivX Player v1.1,PS2R MediaPlayer 1.28e.
Also the sims doesn't boot.
I'm using maxell cd-r 80 xl-s discs, must it be some kind of discs?
What am I doing wrong?

you have to hold triangle to boot to dev mode... you didn't mention that. If you did that, then I would try different media or burner software. I like fireburner for those type of images, and I would burn at like 2-4x. I always use TDK or Taiyo Yuden media, and they work great.
