Hey there....was hoping i could get some advice from some of you ps2 modding gurus out there. I just went to install my first ps2 chip.....i can solder pretty damn well....ps2's are new to me...done many many many xboxes....there a piece o cake... anywho...to the point...went to install this chip....at first i stuck the chip down by all the warning writing....wired it up...it was messy as hell....and i put it all back together....no boot...flash o static...so then i cleaned up the install....but 3.3v and gnd were all the damn way across the mobo....(and i used a thicker awg of wire by the way). ....long story short my eject ribbon got stuffed....someone rolled the computer chair over it :| . at that point the ps2 was not booting....(i didnt know the eject ribbon was screwed at this point)....so i un installed the chip to make sure i had not killed the damn thing. At that point i figured it out about the eject ribbon....and i wiggled it and got it to work...boots up the game that was in there YAY...no dead console on my hands....so while i'm waiting for the new ribbon cable in the mail i decided to change the location of the chip...so the wires could be a hell of a lot shorter. Now when i wiggle the eject ribbon so i can kinda get it to work...the standby led is green, right off the bat...not sure if this is normal behaviour for a matrix as i have never done one before. Plz dont make fun of my install too much...it is my first...if i get this one up and running, then once ive done a few ill have it down to a science. Ill attach a big arse pic o the install....and yes i know 3.3 v isnt hooked up...i took the pic before i did
