Unscrew the fan, lift up the fan slightly, take off the screw that lays underneath it. Take off the screws of the controller port then disconect it. Now grab the PS2, anf flip it upside down. Lift up the bottom and take it off. This will expose the otherside and the rest will become apperent.

It just simply plugs into the connector.

Hmm doesnt sound like you should go a head with the install. Great chances are that you might damage your machine =(

Get wire, install it to the pins of the connector, then solder wires to the board. Put hot glue on it to give it a hold back on the motherboard. Better yet if you can directly solder the connector back into its place.

I'm can't tell where it goes on the board? Can i not just run a wire from one of the 3.3v places on the board & another to the earth?

If not, can someone post me a pic of the v10 fan connector position.
