Problem with SCPH-39001 –
05-14-2003,10:38 PM
Well, some really cheaply ass wanted (from me) to install a "new" Mars chips on your 6 (six) months old v7 NTSC U/C (GH-017).
I did it, but do not work at all, perhaps laser weak or something, on some tests stages, I found out the ribbon cable used for Power on/off, eject buttons has a little overheated on via.
I changed the bad flat cable with a new one, but now I could not get any led (light on) anymore, even the red stand-by led. I even replace whole power/eject buttons, cable, and power supply, with new ones, but no go. PS2 refuse to power on again.
I checked all main fuses with multimeter, but all was fine, including logic when I press power or eject buttons, so I ask...
Which component has been blow up? Capacitor? Transistor?
Someone else got this problem before?
Help!
