Problem playing certain games

Hello,

I modded a V4/5 PS2 with a Duo2SE for a friend. Before I closed it up, i cleaned the laser. I tested it with two of my burned backups (XIII and Kingdom hearts, different media). He burned a bunch of games all on one type of media (different from both of mine). He can play some games fine, others boot up the PS2 logo and then go to No Data, and one goes to a black screen. I took all these games and played them fine on my PS2 (V10, so better laser). So I'm guessing it's a media problem, because he can play some games fine.

What do you think?

His laser. Replace it and everything should work great.
