    Hi

I have hada PS2 in for repair that kept on rebooting with the Neofix installed.

I removed this and connected a link wire between L1 and L2 to rectify the cut track.

However when I power on the laser moves as if the two lid switched are pressed (there not) and the disc turns in 3/4 movements. To make sure I replaced the resistors and still have the same problem.

    Any ideas ?

    Regards

    Update

Right the machine laser now only tries to read when switches are pressed. I have replaced all the 30k resisitors and still have a problem.

The laser only emits a tiny bit of light when the buttons are pressed and will not read the dvd - the disc turns in 3/4 jolts.

    CD reads ok.

I know the laser is good as I have tried it in another machine ?

    Any ideas ?

    Regards

It's this one right, why did you cut a track or am i misunderstanding? Beyond that i would check your CDVD points for your mod chip...

    Hi

Modchip is installed perfectly - this is the diagram for the fix

I never cut the track - it was given to me for repair.

I have had the same problem as you sometimes and then it has been the 30k resistors that was ****ed or the laser was non working.

So i think your problem must be there.
Hello. This is my signature. Nice? yeah? Thanks!

    Hi

Tried laser previosly in another machine and was fine - replaced all the resistors etc.

Will dig out another laser and give it a bash.
