Problem with my Magic 2 on V7 Ps2
Problem with my Magic 2 on V7 Ps2 –
Hello, I had recently installed a magic 2 on my V7 ps2. It boots ps1 backups and originals, ps2 origianls, and DVD movies. The only thing that it won't boot is a ps2 backup. I chedk my connections for any bridged connections, and everythings ok. When i try to boot up a backup/burned ps2 game, i turn it on normally as told, but then the red screen comes up telling me to insert a ps1 or ps2 game. Ps2 origianls work fine, it's just the backups that are gicing my problems. Any solutions for this cause?
The modchip is from modchip.ca, and i used all the wires that were supplied with the chip.
Please see the troubleshooting guide bundled into one of the stickies. The case is covered.
Either A through I or W; or more likely you need 22 awg for GND, 3.3v & 5V. The 30 awg wires supplied are not sufficient to take 1/4 amp. keep GND short (3" or less)
Which Sticky? I can't find the issue with the magic 2 problem.
And does Radiochask sell the awg22 wire by anychance?
Point W was comming off, that might be the solution. Thanks
thanks, coudln't find it, lol
Well you have to look. There's a whole set of FAQs - why don't people look?
ok, i checked all my points and everything seems to be fine, still doesn't wanna boot up ps2 backups. Gives me the red screen everytime i try to boot it up, ps2 originals are fine though. i checked point W, and resoldered it, and resoldered point S. any other suggestions? Thanks
