hey guys, just finished modding my scph 10000 with dms3. Ill include a picture of my install with this message. first, let me say, i did not mount the dms3 where i was "supposed to," I mounted it over the bios chip would be if it was on the top side, so the bios wires would be very very short (wires F, G, H, and I are all no more than 1 cm), I dont know if this is a problem or not. Anyway, when i turn the system on with the chip activated, it boots up to a black screen (the cd tray does open), but when the chip is deactivated, everything works fine (I tested all medias). One thing i have done since the picture was taken is i doubled the 3.3v wire. Anyone have any ideas?

2 pics, one of the full install, and one of the pins, which have no bridges (checked with continuity tester and magnifier).

You are experiencing what they call Ground Bounce. <removed sarcastic comments >

Just make sure D and E do not cross and that you have multiple ground points to pin B and to the 3rd programming pin. I'd recommend you use a continuity tester to verify the programming pin ground point.
The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

yeah, i know which pads, i mean which way does the order go, just please give me a picture of the exact one, if possible.

i did forget to mention in the first post, that i didnt put the chip flat against the motherboard, i used double sided tape, dont know if that makes any difference.

ok, just did the ground wire on the 3rd pin, and heres what has happened since : I tried it again, and it didnt work, so i decided to try the original bios, which actually worked, so from that, i way-downgraded to v1.2. Well, the upgrade worked and after that, i tried timesplitters. well, it booted, but the ps2 logo never came up, so i reseted it, and tried with a few other games. none of them got past the boot up, so i tried the original bios again. this time, the original bios didnt work, but the v1.2. so i reseted and turned off the chip and tried to boot japanese tekken. well, it only would boot up as an audio cd. so i reseted again, and this time, the controllers didnt work, and now whenever i boot it up, in either sleep or on, the controllers dont work and games dont get past the booting up (edit: the controllers work, but after a few resets they stop working). WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED (sorry to say it like that)?! Anyone have any idea? Are v0s always this hard to get fully working with modchips? This is the second v0 ive ever modded (last was an 18000), and that one did almost the same thing, by i mean the soldering was fine, there were no bridges or routing problems, everything was fine, and wierd problems like this kept happening. I never actually got it working, i just gave up and sold the 18000. Sorry for the ranting, any ideas guys?

if you look at my bios wires, they cant be any shorter. F, G, H, and I are about 1cm at the most, and J, K, M, and N are like 2 inches maybe, but like i said, they really cant be any shorter. that is why i mounted the dms3 where i did.
