ok guys I looked at the picture of where everything needs to get soldered at. from
    h**p://www.china-magic.com/diagrams/new-magic2_v7.jpg

My question is that I expand this image and I still cant make head or tails to where to solder the voltage 3.3 if they mean in the circle or what. I emailed them but I yet have not recoieved a response. can someone here please mark a circle as to where it goes to be soldered thanks.

Yeah, you can solder to the hole. Actually called a via. Just be sure to scrape the clear coat off first so you get a nice solid connection.

Thanks abarros for that illustrated document and you to racer. My next question is that if you would have a documentation on how to install this on playstation 2 ntsch 30001r model? my friend has that 30001r model and I know that the magic 2 v7 chip will work as illustrated on the magicchip website.

Hey.. you can solder on the via.. but that is extremely risky.. you can easily melt the via into the layers of the planar and kiss your pretty ps2 bye-bye..

Check out the pdf instructions, detailed and they have non-via solutions to all the points..

Regarding the soldering issue, the problem I did have soldering was the Ground pad.. that thing didn't catch the stupid solder.. it took me ages and still I don't thing my solder is very strong.. (no matter how I cleaned the stupid pad... any suggestions?

Yeah I know how you can do it... very simple... Take two pieces of tape and tape it along side of the two pads so the one that you need to solder is in the middle. then solder it in. Once that is done start gently pulling the two pieces of tape and blow on it so the solder can start to harden then you have a clean solder that is not connecting or touching the other two pads...
here is a picture of what I mean. the picture is a tbird that is being taped up to get soldered to unlock it. But I believe that this picture will show the point in what I am saying.

Thanks, but I think you posted the wrong picture man.. that's a hammer!

Anyway.. the ground pad is still not close to any other pad... the problem is that I can't get the 'blob' of solder to stick to it.. well.. maybe I just didn't get what you meant.. try the pic again please..

maybe what you need to do if I understand you correctly is to melt that blob of solder (thats if that gap is solder) then apply flux to the wire and solder the wire in there with new solder and that should do it.
