Problem with magic 2 –

I am currently having problem with my magic 2. At first everything was booting OK, but after four hour straight of playing game the system started to act up. I had try to boot both original and backup PS1 game and none will boot it will all way give me the red screen, the same problem also happen with the PS2 game sometime it boot flawlessly and sometime not until a couple of try. I had checked all the wire for mis-installation all check OK and I had also shortened the wire too, I had used a 23 swg wire to do the installation. When I was done installing the chip it booted everything I had tested it out every hour to see does it boot, but once I was done play four hours straight the whole problem happens and I am clueless. Anyone know what the problem would be?

My post "PS2 Soldering Tips" advises:
34/35 swg = 31/32 awg for the non-power/ground wires and 23 swg = 22 AWG plastic covered stranded wire for power/ground. I hope you didn't use 23 swg for the other wires.
So is it overheating? How have you mounted the chip? Is the case bearing down on the chip which is pressing into the PS2?

Ok I fix the problem (will it kinda fix it self when I had taken it apart). But now teh problem is when I put back the screw on the PS2 it will not work but if I take off the screw it will work 100% all the time, do you know anyway to help me for this part?
Thanks

I just asked you:
How have you mounted the chip? Is the case bearing down on the chip which is pressing into the PS2?
Or did you snag the Rest wires in the screw hole?

I mount the chip by using a double side tape to hold the chip on the motherboard (like on your other topic on how to mount the messiah chip). Nothing is touching the case of the PS2 I had check and made sure.
