Off the bat this is my 1st ps2 mod .. Have done many xbox mods doing this mod as a fav wishing now I never touched it lol.

OK this is the problem I am having PS2 works fine and normal liek mod isnt even in there no copies will boot. All I get is browser screen then red clouds if i browse.
Istalled the chip as the diagram shows http://duomodchip.com/english/instal.../duo2se_v7.jpg
2nd and 3rd time have tried alt pionts still no luck.
As it sits right now is lke the diagrams above.
Have used the all diffrent methods of booting for the dif systems and all dif media types dvd-r dvd+r cdr cdrw dif companies no make a dif.
Loads orig ps and ps2 games perfect no trubs no buzing in background
metered all wires and made sure no shorts on legs etc all seems fine all 4 times I have reinstalled it.

Does the duo se have dif loading screens anything to show it is running I have no clue.

IM JUST STUCK dont have another chip to install to see if is chip as i said before is friends and is a fav duo se if from modchip store and was liek $48
dont htink is a copy but never know .

    You paid 48 dollars for a duo2se??

    Anyway,

Try to double up the 30AWG wire for ground and VCC (twist two wires together) or use 22 AWG wire. Also, start up with the disk inside the PS2. Duo2s sometimes have issues booting media from the browser screen. You could also try to clean your laser.

Check your R wire. If it sits too close to the other ones, chances are you'll get the problem you are having. Keep it away from all the other wires!!

I'm on my 9th duo2se and haven't had a problem yet. It boots from the browser no problem. Never did a v7 so I can't comment on those but done v4's, v9's, v10's with them. I've read that there are duo clones out there so could it be a clone maybe? Other than that, check the points over and over. Sometimes it's a tiny bit of solder that flowed under the chip pins when you do those pins on the pin legs and it's hard to see but it affects it. All in all though, taking my time, most of them have worked first boot no problems at all so far and 6 months ago I never touched a soldering iron before. lol.
