Problem with DMS3,V2 & mem card

Is there any issues with booting(any/certain) games with the memory card(Sony) & the DMS3??????
A customer complained that some games would only load after presing reset about 5 times......he brought it over,& it would not load....no ps2 logo,just black screen(after the intial Sony screen/whirls),then says"unable to read disk",& is followed by the symbols,like its a movie/music.
Remove the memory card & it boots 100%.Now this only happens on a few games.....all my back-ups work 100% with or without a memory card.
Anyone noticed this problem?????
The f/w of the DMS3 is 1.3.

upgrade to firmware v1.6c

I have never had a problem on either firmware versions with memory cards in

V1.6c has more bugs than V1.3......i had another post stating the bugs 1.6c had
