Problem with Asia version Guilty Gear XX on Magic Card 2

I have a US ps2 model number 30001 R with a Magic Card 2 mod chip. the problem is it won't boot up Guilty Gear XX (Asia Version) it's a original dvd rom ps2 game. Every time i try to boot it up it goes like it's about to boot, screen goes black ps2 logo come up and then it rest to the meomery card display.Also all my us cd and dvd originals play fine and also all my cdr and dvdr back up's play fine it looks like it won't play ps2 import originals but it plays psx import originals fine. What can be the problem is the Asia version of Guilty Gear XX printed in DVD mode 9 format .
Also the conver on the guilty gear xx said it's printed in hong kong.

So do you know for sure that Guilty Gear xx is printed in mode 9 dvd format.

Then could it be that my magic Card 2 won't play Import ps2 Dvd games, Cause i know sony like printing 2 kinds of versions Japanese and Asiain Version that's version i have of Guilty gear XX is Asiain version but works on Japanese ps2 systems.
